On December 7, the biggest mall in Dongguan—DG Mall opened with its three-day-ceremony. Surprisingly, there were around 500,000 visitors on the first day and by December 9, the number raised to 1,710,000. What’s more, Dongguaners consumed 68,760,000 RMB in just three days. Obviously, the enormous attractions in the mall encouraged visitors: half-price food and beverage promotions, lucky draws with fancy cars for prizes, additional gifts for customers who spent a certain amount of money, impressive entertainment equipment priced at just 9 RMB, etc. As the biggest mall with the most complete types of business, DG Mall has mapped out six floors above ground and four underground. More than 400 brands include fashion, F&B, fitness, education, luxury, culture and so much more.
“It’s very big with so many things to explore, I am very excited!” Catherine Feng, a Millennial commented, she continued, “But I couldn’t find the cosmetic brand shop I wanted, I hope DG Mall will have it soon.” DG Mall, named after Dongguan, not only brings innovation but also its local culture embedded within. A cultural-themed area named “Dongguan Story” is filled with different elements.
For vehicles, 4,300 parking spots are available and the newly opened metro entrance F at Hongfu Rd station ensures convenience for those using public transport. Also, it meets the intersection of metro line 2 and the on-building line 1, which means more potential in the future.
