Li Zhengqiang Equestrian Promotion Center is the first and currently the only indoor equestrian center in Dongguan. Its founder, Mr. Li, is a national equestrian athlete, and a Dongguan local who owns the Camelot Riding Resort & Country Club in Chang’an. In order to promote this rare sport in his hometown, the center was opened on April 22, 2018, for youths.
With more than 2,000 square meters, it covers three training venues and a horse stable. So far, 10 docile ponies are on site, in keeping with safety policies for youth’s training lessons. What’s more, each coach will ride a pony before the class for safety purposes.
The center is using a teaching system from the Chinese Equestrian Association, which is internationally approved. A demo class costs 129 RMB, including 20 minutes’ introduction, 10 to 20 minutes’ horse-care explanation and 30 minutes’ horsemanship. The entire curriculum costs 26,800 RMB (with some complimentary equipment) for 60 classes, each taking 40 minutes.
